Announcing the Pilot of smART4Arts Collaborative
GreenCraft Media is thrilled to partner with
Cincinnati-based Arts nonprofits in smART4Arts!
The smART4Arts Collaborative signifies an ambitious and strategic advancement in our community’s ability to promote diverse arts programming. Our mission is to leverage equitable, shared services in marketing as a pilot with an eye toward adding in shared services in data, administration and development in future years.
This forward-thinking effort is generously funded by ArtsWave, the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation, and by the pilot participating organizations who share a vision of fostering innovation and diversity in the arts. The participating organizations pay into the fund based on the size of their budget, making this an equitable and affordable model.
The organizations participating in the pilot are American Legacy Theater, ArtsConnect, Cincinnati Men’s Chorus, Clifton Cultural Arts Center, Learning Through Art, Inc., MUSE, My Nose Turns Red, Oxford Community Arts Center, and The Well. The Well is also providing organizational leadership for the pilot.
This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to making the arts accessible to all, and driving cultural enrichment across the region, and this pilot is being reviewed as an example for arts institutions in other regions across the United States. As we embark on this journey, we invite community members to join us in supporting the arts and inspiring creativity throughout our diverse communities.

American Legacy Theatre generates inviting, reimagined theatrical experiences for all people to have a voice in enriching society. ALT uses theatre as a tool to make positive social change, and aspires for a day when every American has access to the empathy-building art form of theatre.
Your support helps ALT to cultivate empathy in students and adults alike through innovative theatrical experiences.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
GreenCraft Media has planned, pitched and executed robust campaigns for American Legacy Theatre’s unique performances. One show in particular, ALT’s spring 2025 rock musical “HIGHER”, received a full earned and paid media campaign, which garnered more than 700,000 impressions, including 3 local news appearances for their Executive Artistic Director and CEO. Along with the content from news outlets, GCM provided original media to boost the show, such as the logo, various graphics, photography, and video. GreenCraft has also negotiated ad purchases, including a $30,000 value in-kind media programming donations to use across an entire year - leading to additional forward marketing planning for the 2025 - 2026 season.
Currently, GreenCraft Media and American Legacy Theatre are working to elevate several other theatrical events. These projects include: graphics and website improvements for a region-wide series of plays My Block My City;
a 4-minute promotional video for See Me. Hear Me, a one-act show for students that creates awareness for cyberbullying solutions; and most recently, artwork and press for Bridge City, an original musical celebrating the dreams, joy, and aspirations of the Black community.
Partnering with Springfield Township, ArtsConnect offers a dynamic array of programs at their community arts center – a hidden gem in the heart of the community, located just off of Winton Road. ArtsConnect welcomes you to join their expert instructors in pottery, drawing, painting, woodworking, ceramics, music, digital arts, sewing, stained glass, children’s theater, cooking, blacksmithing, drone piloting, and more - all in their newly renovated facility which was reopened to the community at the beginning of 2024.
Your support of ArtsConnect helps people of all ages share their creativity in ArtsConnect’s engaging classes, camps, and hands-on workshops, guided by over 30 talented, paid, teaching artists. Experience the arts like never before with ArtsConnect!
The GreenCraft Media impact:
In the first phase of GreenCraft Media’s partnership with ArtsConnect, we implemented content strategies that directly addressed long-standing pain points—most notably, class cancellations due to low awareness and engagement. GreenCraft has helped to turn that around. With the help of a new content calendar, daily posting, and a consistent visual identity across platforms, ArtsConnect has found more engagement for their multitude of classes. GCM has assisted ArtsConnect in optimizing their preexisting Google Ads account. Overtime, these Google Ad statistics show that increased visibility translates to significantly higher class attendance, and fewer class cancelations.
As part of the effort to raise awareness and build visual recognition, GreenCraft Media has produced photo and video for ArtsConnect. Displaying the different classes, and highlighting the enthusiastic staff, has produced real results. Currently, GCM and ArtsConnect are producing a video campaign for ArtsConnect’s “Surge” initiative - a city wide renovation project that covers old electrical boxes with murals.
Cincinnati Men’s Chorus is Cincinnati’s oldest LGBTQ+ arts organization. In CMC’s 33 years of performing, they have strived for excellence; to support and nurture their members; to entertain audiences; and to work for justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and harmony between the gay community and the community at large. CMC continues to grow every year from men of all walks of life, all gathering to project a positive image of the LGBTQ+ community, showcasing the contributions they make to society as a whole.
Your support of the CMC’s “Holidays on Holiday” concert will go towards enhancing the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus’ seasonal performance schedule and helping to share their talent and their mission.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
In the words of CMC President, Bruce Preston, “Our partnership with GreenCraft has been a lifeline for us.” GreenCraft developed marketing materials including a promotional video, and designs for posters for the previous season of shows. GCM also consulted with CMC on website issues and a promotional campaign. As a result of these efforts, Cincinnati Men’s Chorus significantly exceeded ticket revenue goals. Cincinnati Men’s Chorus is both saving money through the smART4Arts model, and seeing more engagement with their concerts. The collaboration with GreenCraft Media marks a period of the longest run of positive cash flow in the organization’s recent history. Performance attendance and donation events have benefitted from improved graphics, posters, and outreach via Meta.
In consultation with the CMC Artistic Director, GreenCraft Media assisted to develop concert themes and titles for their next season. GCM is currently developing a more user-friendly website, video promotion for new performances, as well as logos and graphics for the upcoming Season 35.
With its wide range of arts classes and programs, Clifton Cultural Arts Center has plenty of ways for people to get involved. Over the first 6 months of the smART4Arts collaborative, CCAC and GCM have worked together to build a social media strategy. By building and maintaining a content calendar, GreenCraft Media has promoted the exhibitions, fundraising opportunities , and educational experiences that the nonprofit has to offer. With the help of social media, and a collaboration with the marketing and tourism outlet, Visit Cincy, GCM was able to heighten awareness for CCAC’s 2025 events.
In April, the production team filmed and edited an original 4-minute video. This project, which showcases a family that uses the organization’s scholarship program, played for an audience at the First Annual CCAC Gala. Clifton Cultural Arts Center was able to raise upwards of $50,000 on the weekend of the gala, with a notable portion of the total coming as a response to the video presentation.
With the success of the promotional video, CCAC and GCM hope to delve more into production, improving the nonprofit’s outreach through YouTube.
CCAC is a collaborative, regional arts center fueled by a shared passion and singular belief – that the collective experience of creative and artistic expression brings together diverse communities and nurtures more inspired, more insightful children and adults. Their beautiful, sustainably-built new space on Clifton Avenue (completed in the spring of 2024) is the first purpose-built community arts center in the city of Cincinnati. CCAC's 20,000 sq. ft. location, complete with a green rooftop terrace, is now a vital hub and regional destination for classes, concerts, events, and exhibits. Your support goes directly toward CCAC teachers, students, facilities, and the art they share!
The GreenCraft Media impact:
Learning Through Art’s driving mission is to provide quality performing arts programs in support of arts integrated education, literacy, community development and engagement- encouraging multi-cultural awareness & understanding. Through the lens of their award-winning literacy and performing arts program Books Alive! For Kids®, LTA’s in-school and community programs, their Family Adventures, free App for phones and tablets, interactive website, concerts, streaming episodes, and engaging experiences at cultural institutions for the arts seek to build bridges, break down barriers, and bring neighbors and neighborhoods together in celebration of the rich mosaic beauty of our global multicultural region. Your support helps LTA and BA!FK® to further their reach and messaging to help everyone experience the magic of literacy and the arts.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
Our team has created engaging content for Learning Through Art, Inc. across several platforms. The visually captivating posts informs of past events, invites visitors to learn about upcoming opportunities, and encourages interaction with the Books Alive! For Kids Library. Overtime, GreenCraft Media has polished Learning Through Arts’ marketing strategies strategies, particularly for content posting. Through a newly developed content calendar, the organization is able to effectively map out visuals, themes, and goals for each month’s posting schedule. This is to help refine the nonprofit’s already strong branding, and improve the content pipeline between Learning Through Art, Inc. and GCM. In the last six months, GreenCraft Media has improved the functionality of the website, like setting up Newsletters and ad campaigns within SquareSpace.
GreenCraft Media has also made original and informative programs for children and adults through partnerships with Spectrum News Cincinnati, CET Public Television, and other local multimedia professionals.
Founded in 1984, MUSE is one of the oldest social justice women’s choirs in the United States. With a foundation built on feminism, they aim to inspire change for a more peaceful and just world through song. MUSE utilizes their musical excellence to deliver on their mission and message of advocating for the rights of all people on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality. Your support will contribute to MUSE’s ability to make musical commissions, to their development and operating expenses, and allow them to continue to provide Musical Excellence, Unity, Social Justice, and Empowerment within our community - and beyond!
The GreenCraft Media impact:
The primary goal of the collaboration has been updating the organization’s email marketing strategy. The most significant change for Muse is the switch from Mailchimp to SquareSpace for email marketing. Not only is this a more efficient move, it is also more cost effective. This is a cleaner experience both for target audience and the nonprofit internally. GCM worked with MUSE to Emails and press releases themselves, editing information into easily digestible bullet points, and linking the email blasts to the choir’s active blog. Along with mailing optimization, GCM has also helped to organize social media posting. The twice weekly, consistent postings keep the public notified of upcoming events.
The improved output is encouraging MUSE to extend in new directions. In the future, GCM and MUSE hope to create a consolidated YouTube channel - as the organizations currently have three different channels. Streaming capabilities like on YouTube Live and Twitch, are also on the horizon, allowing people to enjoy performances wherever they are.
Through the art of the theatrical clown and the one-ring circus, My Nose Turns Red cultivates a supportive environment that inspires youth to challenge themselves, develop essential life skills, and engage audiences.
My Nose Turns Red Youth Circus (MNTR) provides a non-competitive, safe environment for students of all ages to be courageous, set personal goals, persevere, work together, be inspired, and have fun. MNTR serves over 900 students annually through after-school programs, year-round classes, and summer camps. With your support, MNTR can provide free after-school circus classes and summer camps to underserved youth.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
GreenCraft Media created and launched a brand new SquareSpace website, providing a pleasant and intuitive user experience for those wanting to learn more about the organization. The site features a much cleaner visual design and page layout, resulting in increased engagement. Visitors to the site are able to enroll in a variety of camps and classes, learn about upcoming events and performances, and make donations to the organization.
In addition to the new website, GreenCraft is utilizing a network of local news outlets to promote events. GCM has refined the process of sharing newsletters and press releases to the public. In the near future, GreenCraft Media and My Nose Turns Red will implement the Google suite of tools for nonprofits, such as YouTube and Google Ad creation.
The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC), located in the historic Oxford College building, serves as a welcoming space where the community can connect and enrich their lives through diverse cultural and arts programming. Offering a wide array of opportunities, from art, music, and creative writing classes to performances and exhibitions, OCAC is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and inspiration. With a strong commitment to sustainability, the center ensures the preservation of its historic space while meeting the evolving needs of artists, students, and the broader community for generations to come. Your support helps OCAC to offer free events like the 2nd Friday Celebration of the Arts, Howl at the Moon, and Holiday Fest, as well as their art exhibitions, concerts, and classes.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
In the first 6 months of the smART4Arts pilot, OCAC experienced: original content creation as GreenCraft Media photographed and filmed their annual Chocolate Meltdown event, generating post-event social-first video, and media for future marketing use. This content led to increased views, reach, engagement, and watch time across platforms! The GreenCraft Media team also developed and executed a 6-week content plan ahead of OCAC’s Annual Gala - keeping the event top of mind for followers as it increased brand visibility & engagement - providing data that will shape marketing strategy going forward.
Additonally, GCM is preparing to launch a brand new OCAC website after months of work and collaboration. The site will provide improved user experience for increased engagement; will build brand recognition through a stronger visual identity; and new interactive features will lead to higher conversions!
The Well has been nourishing the community since 2005, and in 2019, became the non-profit, A Mindful Moment. Their mission is to improve the mental and emotional well-being, connectedness, and effectiveness of all persons through arts integration, mindfulness, music, movement, and healing-centered practices. With accessible and inclusive wellness and arts practices, The Well centers arts and wellness practices as the vehicle for finding common ground and remembering our own humanity and hope. Your support helps The Well to offer programs that combine aspects of mindfulness, movement, art and connection for all ages, including their signature program, Mindful Music Moments, a national program that combines mindful, creative prompts with world-class orchestra, jazz, world and new music for daily use in schools and organizations.
The GreenCraft Media impact:
A focal point in GreenCraft Media’s strategy has always been brand consciousness. During the first months of the smART4Arts collaborative, GreenCraft Media and The Well have worked toward constructively defining the identity of The Well. Brand solidification has come in many forms. With the leaders of The Well, GCM created and sent Press Releases to key media contacts across the region, securing a fantastic on-air broadcast package featuring the work of their Mindful Music Moments program in area schools that aired across the state on Spectrum News 1 Ohio. From a PR standpoint, GreenCraft Media has worked to bolster social media output by making Instagram Reels and video promotion, targeting prospective visitors wanting to know more about The Well’s offerings.
In March, GCM and The Well storyboarded, produced and executed “The Well Is Listening”. This 70 second video highlighted a new campaign centering around growth, expansion, and a call to action to the community. Using photos and videos provided by The Well, photos taken by GCM, and new graphics, the video captures a tone authentic to the organization’s branding. The video received hundreds of views on instagram, 60% of which were from accounts that do not follow The Well. The GreenCraft Media team is currently turning out more photo and video production for Mindful Music Moments, showcasing classroom events and inspiring musical performances.
